All four of my seasoned readers know that not only do I blog about random anime that is airing and SCIENCE, but I am also a Saimoe blogger. I wonder why there aren’t more Saimoe bloggers out there. Probably because no one cares and most people in the states can’t even vote in Saimoe Japan in the first place. Regardless, I love the stuff because the competition is interesting and hey – it’s an objective measure on how well liked your favorite anime characters are. Saimoe season is in the fall, so there are no fun discussions about characters or anything because no contests are going on. Well, except International Saimoe League which nobody cares about, duh.

Some coverage, including a bit of my own, started to look like coverage for a sports event at times. So I thought it might be fun on a Sunday night to share some art for sports Sports Illustrated parody Saimoe Illustrated that I created back then for amusement. I’ve already used some on the blog before. Some of these are specifically dated to reflect events in the past. Original artwork belongs to their respective creators. Enjoy.
